Foster Realty was established in the late 1970's by Larry Foster, a longtime local realtor from Nova. Larry sold the company to Andy Suvar in 2007 and it then became Foster Realty, Real Estate Connections. We are still doing business at 6 South Main Street, New London, as we have for many, many years.

We are a full service real estate and auction company. We have 2 licensed auctioneers on staff as well as 6 licensed Realtors that will be more than happy to answer any of your questions or help you buy or sell your property.

Andy Suvar

Andy grew up in North Ridgevilie & graduated from North Ridgeville & Lorain County JVS in 1975. He moved to New London in 1976. He has been a licensed Realtor since 1978 where he started off at a small office in Elyria then decided to move closer to home & sold under Gene Shepherd until moving to Foster Realty in 1988.

Andy specializes in farms, homes, land & commercial. Andy is our resident farm & land expert here at Real Estate Connections. He oversees the day to day operations of the office as well as attending broker meetings, continuing education & staying current on new laws & regulations that affect the RE industry.

Andy is a member of Firelands, North East Ohio and Ashland MLS, also Firelands and Ashland Board of Realtors, the Ohio Board of Realtors and the National Assn of Realtors.

Shelley Suvar

I grew up in the Lorain/Amherst area & graduated from Amherst’s Marion L. Steele High School. I married & moved to New London in 1980. I worked at National City Bank for a number of years &then was a “stay at home” Mom for a while. When I went back to work it was at the McDonalds in
New London. l joined forces there before it was built so I got to be in on all of the planning & building & open houses & training & all those things that go along with a new business. I worked there for 12 years while the kids were in school & then got my real estate license in 2003. Andy & I bought the office from Larry Foster in 2007 & changed the name to Real Estate Connections and have been partners in the real estate business ever since.

I handle most of the real estate paperwork, computer inputs, bookkeeping and all of the advertising. I enjoy meeting new buyers & helping them ﬁnd the home that’s just right for them. i also like viewing homes to see all of the unique decorating ideas people come up with. I prefer to stay close to home showing real estate so I only handle New London & surrounding areas like Fitchville, North Fairfield, Nova, Sullivan, Wakeman, Clarksfield, Rochester & Wellington.

I also help with all of the auctions at Suvar Auctions including listing, set up, advertising and (my favorite part) going to the auctions where you'll find me either registering bidders, clerking, cashiering or occasionally making a hot dog or two. I also enjoy driving tractor in the spring & planting wheat or helping with harvest in the fall when time allows.

Andy & l have 4 daughters who all live in or close to New London. We currently have 7 grandchildren that range in age from 15 to 1 and of course my all time favorite pastime is spending time with my grandchildren.

Kate Suvar

I am the newest addition to the team! I grew up in New London and graduated from New London High School in 2007, Ohio Business College in 2015 and completed my course work for my Real Estate License at Hondros Business College in 2017.
